Masakazu Hara

I have been an attorney for more than 22 years (as of January 2025). Over this period, I have participated in a wide range of cases in areas that include SME law, business rehabilitation, M&As, labor disputes, and litigation. I am confident that my flexibility and breadth enable me to handle any case.

I also have leveraged my experience studying abroad (in China, the United States, and elsewhere) and my network with law offices and attorneys to work actively on international projects as well. In addition to checking and preparing English-language contracts, my caseload includes transactions with overseas firms, cases involving both Japanese and overseas law, and cross-border inheritance. I also am experienced with submitting expert opinions to courts and public agencies abroad.

I played rugby in college, and I am highly interested in legal issues related to sports as well. In particular, I have extensive experience with issues related to the operation of athletic organizations and related regulations.

My motto calls for listening closely to each client to ascertain the client's thoughts and desires and handle each case with enthusiasm and care. To ensure client satisfaction, I also emphasize timely as well as appropriate and attentive case handling.

Although for a while I have been unable to do so as much as I would have liked due to a heavy caseload, I also want to address environmental issues actively both on and off my job as an attorney.
